APPEAL

Dear Pharmacist,

           With very warm regards we are making this fervent appeal to you, As we all know
that for more than fifty years or so this profession has taken its firm roots in our country. The
visionary late Prof. M .L Shroff strived his whole life making this profession a reality.
Stalwarts from the professions also made their own contributions in bringing this profession
some respectable level.

             However, with regret we have to accept that it is a great tragedy that till today our
profession could not get a worth image to its name. Most of the pharmacists are deprived of
job opportunities, attractive salary, good income, promotional avenues, status,etc.

             Pharmacists are still being compensated for ordinary graduates in the fields like
hospital pharmacy, drug manufacturing, selling, marketing, distribution,etc.

            However to overcome all kinds of difficulties and hurdles, we have decided to give
a fresh initiative for changing the face of this profession by forming a state level association of
pharmacists who are students, manufacturing pharmacists, community and hospital pharmacists,
drug regulators, teacher, medical representatives, etc.

             On the basis of this unity and support given by one and all we hope to bring some
concrete results in near future, thereby every pharmacist should feel proud of himself and his profession.

             You are therefore requested to enroll yourself alongwith your pharmacist friends,
colleagues and relatives, with the association.

             Yor are also requested to associate and make solid contributions ao as to carry out
the functions of the association.
